Jim, Yesterday I completed the CCW course at Reno Tactical. I really lack enough superlatives to express my total satisfaction with this course both the audio/video portion as well as the physical handling and firing of the weapons to be permitted! I found the instructors, Kim Balbini and Sean O’Brien to be extremely competent in their knowledge, professionalism and communication skills. This was further enhanced by their “hands on” approach making sure I understood all of the technical, legal, safety, proper handling and firing aspects of my weapons. Additionally these were two really super guys who made the course really enjoyable! I can whole heartily recommend Reno Tactical for anyone interested in a CCW course, be it beginners, intermediate or advanced course. Sincerely, Ned Bialer

had a great time Sat and learned alot! I’ve been shooting one thing or another since I was like 8 or 9 y/o. Sometimes we adapt to bad habits or get lazy. The refresher course offered awesome objective ideas and positive critique. On way home, it occurred to me i should have grabbed the target– all i had to show i was there is memories. The wifey wife asked about the target and doh! Forget it.
The bread and coffee was fantastic and I learned a lot in the class. My co-worker and his wife and my wife have expressed interest, so maybe in a few weeks when you have another class going, they can do that. They will be 100% newbies, so the lesson plan may be different or more intense, but either way we’ll definately use RT!

I took RT’s CCWII because I wanted to see if extra training was worth the money and the price. After taking this class, I changed the way I draw my firearm and my stance while shooting. I had always just done the target shooting in the desert with buddies, which I believe now was bad training and gave me all sorts of bad habits. While doing the standard target stuff, I shoot bullseyes all day at pistol distances. This class taught me that doesn’t mean jack.
This single class changed my carry habits, my shooting technique and my attitude toward self defense. If you’ve ever thought of taking any sort of advance class, this is the one to take. I was positively the worst shooter in my course, but I had tons of fun and want to take the course again!!!
Anyway, just my .02 cents. Training makes you feel better about your guns, I don’t care how well you shoot them.
